Labor Day has passed and now my life is over for a while until the warm days come again. My only consolation is that Gossip Girl, the most important show of the ’00s, is back on the air. I was going to recap it and all, but Gabe Delahaye has already done a brilliant job of that over at Videogum. He basically has stolen any meaning I could possibly find in life now that we’ve begun this season of no summer Fridays. Sometimes I have difficulty knowing how our forefathers found the motivation to live in the times before we could recap fall television for blogs.

But they had a White Party on Gossip Girl last night? Isn’t that a AIDS fundraiser thrown by gays for other  gays so that they can justify a reason to take ecstasy and engage in risky behavior while listening to house music? Although I’m kind of glad to find out via last night’s GG that Tinsley Mortimer supports gays and their parties by showing up at them. Remember when J-Lo showed up drunk to White Party in Palm Springs and sang her hit, “Waiting for Tonight”?

God, she was such a mess. It was amazing. I love it when drunk girls come and hang out with gays. It’s nice that they can feel comfortable getting wasted around us since we’re not sexually threatening. In any other environment they might get date raped. Fight violence against women, guys.

So, was everyone on ecstasy at the Gossip Girl White Party last night? Because that’s what I thought people did at White Parties. That might explain the abundance of Vitamin Water that Gabe pointed out in his recap. I snapped this cool party pic of Dan and Nate.

Those guys are such free spirits. Can’t wait for next week’s episode.
