The spectacular Gabe Liedman sent this video to me earlier today and I can’t stop forwarding it around.
Poo and Piglet are right. Why don’t I speak out more when I get touched? (secret answer: because it feels good and I like attention)
More importantly, do I even still have a concept of what a “bad touch” is? Lacking a proper therapist, I talked it out with my buddy Kyle who’s recently been blogging at the new version of Steeez.com.
Kyle: duude – the SONG THEY SING IN THIS THING?!?!?!?!!!!
me: YESSS
the SONG IS AMAZING
Kyle: holy fuck
me: also, the little kids showing how they yell out
Kyle: “DON’T TOUCH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!’
me: I KNOW
It made me wonder
like… when did I start being so ok with strangers putting their hands down my pants
like… when I’m at a gay bar
I don’t even flinch
and like, some dude can totally grab my ass or junk
and I just kind of lean into it
Kyle: aaaaaAAAAHHHHhahahahaha!
“that person touched me and it felt _wrong_”
me: Should I srsly start saying that to dudes? Hard to get is hot, right?

I think you should sing the song next time you get groped, particularly the part about going to tell your mom and dad.

meanwhile, Pooh is wearing a shirt but no pants, making his private parts not very private
