You know what movie is coming out soon I’m really excited about?
I mean as a (not so) secret misogynist, how can I not be excited about a modern retelling of the cautionary legend of vagina dentata. I mean… this movie must be made by the biggest ‘mo ever. Or just the homosexual son of Roy Lichtenstein. Whichever.
I had a little chat and learned some fun background from my friend Olsky about this soon to be modern miracle of cinema.
me: Do you know about this?
Olsky: Yeah, it was at Sundance.I didn’t see it. I heard it was cute.
me: Cute?!?!?! The trailer makes it look like an amazing misogynistic horror movie. I can’t wait! Vaginas that eat people!
Olsky: i think it’s a cute misogynistic horror movie. Jess Wexler, the star, is just the dickens.
me: Yeah?
Olsky: She won an acting award at Sundance. She seemed adorable.
me: She does look adorable. I mean, it’s obviously about loneliness and a desire for intimacy and other sort of human problems… but like… also about vaginas eating people. Which is amazing.
Olsky: There was a Troma movie about something similar a few years ago. I don’t remember what it was called, but it didn’t look anywhere near so tasteful.
me: Well… obviously this cannibalistic vagina is very tasteful.

I’m glad I’m not the only person who wikipedia’d “vagina dentata”.
Did you read about the RAPEX? It’s like that pill with the three day period, but scarier.
