Know what’s great? That Queen Latifah is a lesbian. She seems to have (un)officially come out this week. However, a website with questionable authority seems to have broken the story. The only other person person who asserts Queen’s lesbianism as truth is a certain fat, gay blogger with brightly colored hair, who I will only refer to as “He Who Shall Not Be Named.” So we can’t say anything for certain.
My point is, that having The Queefa as a member of the club makes me a proud, proud homosexual. I’m offering some clips of one of her finest performances in one of my favorite movies of all time as a tribute to this Covergrrls complete greatness. Also, she plays a lesbian jazz singer in this movie. Art reflects life or life reflects art?
This next clip only features a little of Queen. But Holly Hunter and Latifah are on ecstasy going to a club that looks a lot the now defunct Meow Mix that used to reside on Houston and Suffolk. And a there’s really awesome dance sequence.
Know what else is awesome about Queefa? She’s a fucking Covergirl. And know who are aspiring Covergirls? The girls on America’s Next Top Model. And since Tyra is always kicking off the plus sized girls early (I mean… they didn’t even bother with one this cycle), you know that once those skinny bitches win ANTM and do Covergirl shoots, Queen makes them bow down and kiss her feet.
Also — true confession — I seriously enjoyed two of her recent comedies, Bringing Down The House and Beauty Shop. Srsly.

Hey, Colin. Your way cool parents sent me to your webpage. I acknowledge that, being completely out of the New York vibe (I’m in Tucson, for God’s sake), when I first opened it I thought: Oh my God, Colin’s dyed his hair blue. But then I realized (reinforced later by a photo from negligent Kevin, who should be sending these along more regularly) that you’re much better looking than Perez Hilton, a small compliment, I know, but thank God for it.
