I Can Love Whoever I Want Kermit The Frog Might Be My True Spirit Animal

Ok. So Sorry I haven’t written in forever. I’ve been engaged in a very important project for my real job. You can see it here. I’m basically busy setting precedents for PBS online content and trying my best to get them to “get with it” so that we can still have a place where non-commercial academic media can be broadcast to the masses. These things are important and it means this shitty blog written for 23 year old gay men who act like 16 year old girls has fallen by the wayside. That and the fact that my other co-writers rarely write. Blame them too.But in this absence some important things happened. And that is this video, LCD Soundsystem’s “New York I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down” sung by Kermit:

Considering that Kermit the Frog singing The Carpenters’ “Rainbow Connection” is my favorite thing ever, I think you might understand why I love James Murphy’s new online video featuring him so much. Srsly. CAN’T STOP WATCHING. If I was on the Webby panel of judges, that James Murphy’s new video would win video of the year. In case you forgot… here’s the original “Rainbow Connection” featuring Kermit. Love it so hard.

I think that perhaps my spirit animal might be more like Kermit than like a a Monkey Faced Pig.

Both songs are so incredibly tender and beautiful. Yep, I think Kermit is your spirit animal.

16 year old girls”? Women mature a lot faster than men, I’d say 12 year old girls, tops!
